On 6 June 1945 two witnesses and the widower testified before the Theresienstadt court that Margot Kuttner-Scholtz had died on 17 September 1944. Jewish Historical Museum, Documents collection, inv.nr 109
In the 1930s Margot Kuttner-Scholtz and her husband lived in Karlsruhe at Beiertheimer Allee 3a. In 1933 her husband sold his share in his family’s ironmonger’s business in Karlsruhe and the couple emigrated to Amsterdam in October that year. Her husband began a textiles business there. On 20 April 1943 they were both taken from Westerbork transit camp and deported to Theresienstadt. Margot Kuttner-Scholtz’s husband survived the war and returned to Amsterdam.
