| Biography |
: Evi, as everyone knew her, was born in Berlin, Germany, the only child of Peter Danielsohn (1875-1943), a physician, and Margarete Singer (1884-1917). Her brother, Karl Erich (later Charles Danson), is the son of Peter and his second wife Margarete Neufeld (1884-1959). After schooling in Germany, including some medical education, she immigrated to England to join Erwin in 1934, married in 1935, lived in Cambridge and London, and moved to Chicago with the family in 1949.
Emigrated to USA in 1949. Evi died of Ovarian Cancer in 1952. It was a terrible time for Erwin, working in that field and losing his young wife (42) and his mother within a few short months of each other. [1, 2] |
