  Biography	Alfred was a pediatrician, the youngest of 6 siblings, but lived longer than any of them. He and Vally stayed in England for about a year. Emigrated in 1940 to USA. to join Gerhart. When Alfred came to the U.S. at age 70 he sat for medical exams in order to work here as a pediatrician which he did at National Jewish Hospital which is almost world famous for its treatment of then T.B. Now the hospital treats all respiratory illnesses. Alfred died of a heart attack 5 months after his wife died. He worked till the heart attack hit him. Alfred was born in Berlin, Germany, the youngest of six children of Max and Emma (nee Seligmann) Japha. He was a pediatrician, living and working in Berlin, Germany. He immigrated to England in 1939 and then to the United States in 1940. He settled in Denver, where his son Gerhart (Gerry) lived.
