On 26th March 1942, Dina Barnass was deported together with her mother-in-law, her husband and both her daughters, aged 8 and 10, along with a number of other Göttingen Jews. Via the assembly camp at Hanover-Ahlem and the transit camp of Travniki near Lublin she arrived at the Warsaw Ghetto. She is considered as missing there, and after the war, was declared deceased.
