Biography |
Dear David,
I received your letter inquiring about Max Herz and Irmgard Heimbach. Max was my employer and dear friend. I worked for him from 1970 until 1978 when he retired. He was self employed and operated a wholesale business out of the basement of his home. I lived just down the street from him. He was a very hard worker and well liked by all of his customers. I did not have the pleasure of knowing his wife as she had passed away prior to my meeting Max.
After Max retired I looked in on him, helped him with his housekeeping chores and took a meal to him each evening. When his health failed I took him to the hospital, then to a nursing facility where he passed away just days after being admitted. As you know, he is buried in Mt. Nebo cemetary.
I know he had a cousin who lived in the Bronx, New York. I communicated with him until his death in approximately 1990. I will look through my things and see if I can find his name and previous address for you. I also may have some photos and will send them to you if they can be found.
I hope this information is helpful to you. I have very fond memories of Max and miss him.
Sincerely,
Beverly Blamey [1] |
